“Straight Outta Compton” broke records at the US box office over the weekend, bringing in $60.2 million and becoming the highest opening biopic ever. The film has renewed interest in West Coast hip-hop, the founding of Death Row Records by Dr. Dre, and the career of Eazy-E in particular, who died of complications from AIDS in March of 1995.

The hype has brought back an old clip of Suge Knight on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” back in 2003. At the time, Suge had just gotten out of jail for a parole violation after punching a parking lot attendant. As a joke, Kimmel wore a bulletproof vest throughout the interview, and Suge responded that there were ways to kill him that wouldn’t involve gun shots – namely, infecting someone with AIDS, “the Eazy-E thing, you know what I mean?”

Suge is currently facing murder charges stemming from an alleged hit and run in Compton – which you can now see in a video from TMZ. (Watch at your own risk.)
