John Oliver’s Fake Church Is ACTUALLY Raising Money

So last week we told you about John Oliver taking on televangelist scam artists by founding his own church, Our Lady of Perpetual Exemption, and asking his viewers to send him “seed” money for some undefined blessing in return – a practice which is not only legal, but has tax exempt status.

In the latest episode, he gave us an update on the THOUSANDS of dollars that people have sent to his church – along with literal seeds and, for some reason, beef jerky.
