Sherlock and Watson are back and this time, they're doing it old school!
The newest adventures of Sherlock and his phenomenal companion place the dynamic duo in the 1900's. This small re-imagining of the series should be enough to whet the appetites of those who are dying for the fourth season, which was sadly set to release sometime in 2016 around the time of the season three release last year.
According to UK's Express, creator Steven Moffat was delighted by the special, saying, "The first few days we were just so excited because we saw our show with Benedict and Martin in the proper gear and his extraordinary sideburns and you think ‘Why didn’t we always do this? Why did we make that silly mistake of updating it?' But by the end we slightly missed the modern iteration. Maybe we’ll just alternate them all. Mark [Gatiss] and I think we should do the 1940’s propaganda German version.”
There's been no official word on what will be happening with the next season of the series, although Moffatt did tease fans a bit saying "...there's going to be some dark stuff coming but there always is."
The darker the better! We can't wait to see what Moffat and his team have in store for us!
