What's more exciting than stumbling across a venomous sea snake?
Anything. Literally anything.
But residents of Oxnard, California were recently treated to a sighting of not one, but two of these highly poisonous creatures last week, despite the fact that they haven't been seen in California in over 30 years.
While people are warned to stay far away if they should come across any additional yellow-bellied sea snakes in the area, environmental group Heal the Bay is also requesting photos and videos of them. So get your selfie sticks and zoom lenses out, folks. And maybe make sure your phone contains the contact information for all the nearest hospitals, too.
