A woman who unexpectedly went into labor aboard Jet Star flight RK583 decided to name her child after the airline on whose plane it was born.
The baby, Saw Jet Star, was helped into the world by three doctors who happened to be travelling on the plane. While the woman went into labor in the air, she actually gave birth on the ground, after the plane landed safely in Myanmar.

A spokesperson for the airline stated, “Our crew are trained to respond to all kinds of events on our aircraft, and we’re proud of the way they assisted with the help of generous doctors onboard to ensure the safe delivery of our youngest ever passenger.”
Jet Star also offered $1,000 worth of baby supplies to the little one and mama who are safely recovering in a hospital in Yangon.
