Brienne of Tarth is no stranger to fan shipping, having been the subject of it twice before. The first was for a brief time in the second season when she pledged her life, her sword, and her unwavering affection for the contender to the throne, Renly Baratheon. The second was during a season-long road trip with Jamie Lannister. The trip consisted of sword fights, severed limbs, witty quips, and a character-defining spa day that made viewers open up to the idea that these two were meant for each other.
