  • Pretty much the entire internet made fun of whichever poor bastard runs the Good Morning America Twitter feed this week, and I’m not sure the internet is in the right on this one. In response to a circulating image of an emotional LeBron James after winning an NBA Championship, the official Good Morning America Twitter posted this:

  • The rest of Twitter, being the rest of Twitter, jumped to conclusions. Surely someone wouldn’t confuse the Kermit the Frog meme for #tealizard, would they? Now, I’m not saying there’s a troll outsmarting everyone behind the wheel of the GMA Twitter page, but it’s at least not outside the realm of possibility. Here’s what Twitter had to say:

  • Source: twitter.com / Via: twitter.com

  • By the way, here’s the only reference we could dig up to “smockin” in relation The Mask. (In case you’re not old enough to remember this movie, The Mask’s catchphrases were “SSSSSSSMOKIN’!” and “SOMEBODY STOP ME!”) It’s this bizarre “parody” account that only tweeted for about two weeks last year. What did it have to say? Well…

  • I’m pretty sure that whoever @Realmaskparody is, he or she works for GMA now and snuck this reference in so people would go follow their bizarre, 65-follower account. This is what happens when you let Weird Twitter take over the real thing, folks!
