  • When she’s not starring in moderately annoying ads, Jennifer Aniston likes to kick back every now and then. But a trip to the beach in June with her husband Justin Theroux was ruined by, who else, paparazzi. And she got so steamed about it that she’s written an editorial in the Huffington Post telling everyone to BACK OFF.

Back in June, InTouch Magazine posted some photos of Aniston and Theroux at the beach in which Aniston appears to have gained some weight. They rushed to proclaim these pics as evidence that Aniston is pregnant, even going so far as to “interview” a “friend” of the couple who said that she’s expecting and “ecstatic.” But much like many other headlines, this one just plain wasn’t true.

Aniston, who isn’t on public social media, was justly enraged — so much so that she wrote a whole editorial about it. The editorial, which can be found on the Huffington Post here, is entitled “For the Record” and calls out tabloids for their creepy, invasive, irresponsible behavior. Here are some choice quotes:

For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up. I’m fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of “journalism,” the “First Amendment” and “celebrity news.”

The objectification and scrutiny we put women through is absurd and disturbing.

…The reality is the stalking and objectification I’ve experienced first-hand, going on decades now, reflects the warped way we calculate a woman’s worth.

Take that, tabloids! Maybe they’ll learn their lesson and stop being so egregiously horrible. (JK, we all know that’ll never happen.)
