Cute Dog Gets Laughably Bad Haircut

Twitter user Josh Pitruzzella owns an adorable li’l doggo named Mimi. Mimi may not be as impressively helpful as some dogs, but she’s pretty cute nonetheless. At least, she was, until she got an awful haircut.

Pitruzzella documented the cut in a tweet that has since gone viral, being retweeted nearly 12,000 times. Here’s the original tweet:

According to BuzzFeed, Pitruzzella and his family usually throw down a cool $150 to get a quality cut for Mimi. But this time around, Pitruzzella’s dad decided to save some money and just get the dog shaved instead.

The difference in cost? About $115, and one dog’s dignity. Pitruzzella told BuzzFeed his dad told the groomers about his master money-saving plan, but didn’t tell him. Needless to say, he was in for a big surprise when he picked up Mimi from the groomers later that day.

The best comparison we’ve found so far for Mimi’s look is William H. Macy’s Frank character from Shameless. Peep it for yourself. See the resemblance?
