  • Despite the now months-old Lemonade-fueled rumors that Bey and Jay are on the rocks, it appears that Beyoncé still believes in true love.

At a performance in St. Louis recently, Beyoncé paused a performance of her song “Single Ladies” (which was almost as good as Michelle Obama’s) to cede the stage to backup dancer John Silver. What happened next is the stuff of internet gold.

Below is the original clip that soon went viral. The relevant part is about two minutes in, but the whole thing is worth a watch if you’re not one of the lucky ones who’s gotten to see Beyoncé in concert. Here’s the clip:

  • In the video, Silver proposes to his girlfriend Ashley Everett. Spoiler alert: she says yes! And the crowd goes wild! Not just the crowd — this video has been viewed over three million times in just a few days, and the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. Good going, John Silver!

Everett posted a series of Instagram videos in which she shows off her ring and thanks everyone for their love and support. May they all live happily ever after.
