Britney Spears caught some attention on Twitter earlier this week. Spears has been making a comeback online recently, including this Jimmy Kimmel wake-up call and her performance at the VMAs.
Performing at the Apple Music Festival in London, Spears was in the middle of a song “Touch of My Hand” when she attempted a back flip. She never fully committed to the flip, and had to be saved by a male backup dancer. It’s not the most embarrassing thing that’s happened at a concert – remember all those times Justin Bieber fell down like a dum-dum?

Spears still took some grief on Twitter about the incident, but what do you expect when your performance becomes a global top trend? Honestly, it just looks like Spears was falling backwards and was saved, more than it looks like a failed backflip.
Britney’s odd dance move also distracted from the message of the song – it’s about masturbation, as our host Anna Lore finds out in the video above. She also received a lot of credit for her ability to just keep going, brushing off the accident quite easily, and that’s what’s especially impressive.
