Scott Campbell is a tattoo artist to the stars. His work is on Orlando Bloom, Penelope Cruz, and Marc Jacobs. Which is why, when he opened a free, public studio, people lined up.
There’s just two catches. One, the studio will only be around for a limited time. Two, you get a blind tattoo. Unlike the woman who got a tattoo designed by JK Rowling, you have no say in what tattoo you get.
According to TimeOut, Campbell’s exhibit, Whole Glory, is only lasting three days. So for everyone who’s willing to stick their arms in holes and get permanent pieces of artwork, head on down to London. Those willing few, however, will have to wait in line. Turns out it’s not so few.
The finished pieces look pretty big, and from my memories of getting my first tattoo, it’s more than a little painful. It’s cool of Campbell to offer to work on many more people than he’s probably accustomed. It’s also cool for him to experiment with new designs.
