Our What’s Trending Live team caught up with the creator and stars of “Chef” inside the Samsung Blogger Lounge at SXSW 2014.
“This is a bit of food porn,” writer and director Jon Favreau said.
The movie, set in Miami, revolves around food truck culture. Cue Roy Choi, famed chef from L.A.’s Kogi BBQ Taco Truck, who was brought on to keep the film authentic.
“To be honest, the script already had everything. It was just me coming in and trying to color-in between the lines — bring life to it,” Choi said.
With a star-studded cast including Robert Downey, Jr., Sofia Vergara, Scarlett Johansson, Dustin Hoffman and more, “Chef” is slated to open in theaters May 9, 2014.
