The Femme Fatale singer has joined Twitter high-rollers Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and U.S President Barack Obama in the elite club of celebrities who have reached the 10 million mark.
Spears, who regulary tweets to her fans, sharing backstage tour photos and gossip, reached the milestone last week but has a bit of a way to go if she wants to claim the top title, currently held by Gaga with 14.4 million followers.
Shakira, Taylor Swift and Rihanna are expected to also reach the 10 million mark by the end of the year.
