Experience Katy Perry’s Fake Life in Her New Music Video

  • Katy Perry dropped the music video for “The One That Got Away” earlier today. This marks the the sixth single off her sophomore album Teenage Dream.

    The video tells a story in reverse of Perry as an elderly woman reminiscing about a boy she didn’t marry (apparently). And, while the old lady make up is embarrassing, the period pieces from the video are actually quite nice.

    The song itself amounts to little more than a less-catchy version of Beyonce’s “The Best Thing I Never Had,” but the thing to note here is that if this single goes to #1, Katy will be the first artist EVER to have six songs off a single album top the charts. And while only time will tell if she’ll break the record, previously set by the man himself Michael Jackson, the video has already reached the YouTube preordained 301 view stall – and I’m assuming by tomorrow morning the views will be soaring through the roof.
