  • Occupy Portland might just be coming to an end today, as police take control of both Chapman and Lownsdale squares– home to many of the local protesters and encampments for the past six weeks.

  • During a Sunday morning news conference, Portland Commissioner Nick Fish said he expects Parks Bureau staff to erect fences around the squares sometime today, officially closing them to the public. Mayor Sam Adams had put the protesters on notice Thursday that they would be evicted “on or after” 12:01 a.m. Sunday.
