Megyn Kelly Wants You to Eat Pepper Spray

  • “It’s a food product, essentially.” were the words toted by Fox News reporter Megyn Kelly last night on O’Reilly Factor. The two of them tossed back and forth the insignificance of the excessive use of pepper spray during the UC Davis protest last week.

    Bill O’Reilly set it up by saying “Pepper spray, that just burns your eyes, right?” which Kelly responded to with “Right […] I mean, its like a derivative of actual pepper. It’s a food product, essentially.”

    A collected gasp heard round the world followed, just seconds before the sound of people shuffling to their computers, and typing their feelings/frustrations about the statement … or understatement, depending on how you choose to look at it.

    Needless to say, the chatter online has been explosive this morning, with Kelly becoming an overnight trending buzzword. In fact, the whole situation has started something of a meme of its own, with the online masses taking to twitter to poke fun at Kelly by understating some other tragedies.
