The show kicked off with Shira Lazar running down the top trending stories of the day; From Facebook's first-ever Congressional Facebook Developer Hackathon in D.C., to an inspiring video by a brave young man and from the bowls and awards of college football to the hottest hashtags online.
From there we checked in with our What's Trending political correspondent, Jacob Soboroff of Why Tuesday. Jacob filled us in on what Herman Cain leaving the race means, who might get his endorsement and what Jacob will be doing out on the campaign trail leading up to the GOP primaries in early 2012.
For our Real Time Conversation we were fortunate to have two hilarious comedians, Doug Benson (Super High Me) and Paul Scheer (The League). The funnymen helped us go through our lists of the Top 5 Stories and the Top 5 Personalities of 2011. As you might guess, it was filled with laughs and great conversation.
Then. we had a chance to sit down with Perez Hilton. Apart from being a pioneer in social blogging, Hilton revealed just how hard he has and still does work to keep his brand and blog moving onward and upward. Although he recognizes the tremendous feats he accomplished in 2011, he is still aiming to make 2012 even better. Hilton even threw out a few solid tips for anyone who might be getting into the online game.
The show closed with an outstanding live performance by Dia Framption. The NBC The Voice runner up's new album, Red, dropped Monday and you can tell by listening to her that she is only headed for more success.
