It’s no secret to the Twitterverse how quickly a single tweet can do massive damage. Rob Lowe is learning that in real-time, as his name trends all over the interwebs. On Wednesday afternoon, the “Parks and Rec” star tweeted that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning is retiring.

“Hearing my fave, #18 Peyton Manning will not return to #NFL. Wow. #Colts,” posted Lowe. Later, he tweeted at Rich Eisen for corroboration. Lowe wrote, “my people are saying Manning will retire today.” Both Manning’s father and rep say the information is false.
