Iconic soul singer, Etta James, has passed away at the age of 73. According to Dr. Elaine James, her personal physician, she died of complications from leukemia at a hospital in Riverside.
Her longtime manager Lupe De Leon told Associated Press that James was with her husband and sons at her side. "It's a tremendous loss for her fans around the world," he said. "She'll be missed. A great American singer. Her music defied category."
