Actor James Farentino died on Tuesday, due to heart failure. The Brooklyn-born thespian most recognized for his recurring role on “Dynasty,” and for playing George Clooney’s father on “ER,” was 73 years old when he passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. A respected performer on the stage, in television, and on the silver screen, Farentino won an Emmy for playing St. Peter in the 1978 mini-series “Jesus of Nazareth.”
