  • If the whole professional football career thing doesn’t pan out for New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, he might find a steady job as a political pundit.

Always the lively tweeter, Ochocino took to his verified Twitter handle, @ochocinco, to live-tweet President Barack Obama’s State of the Union speech on Tuesday night.

Along with thousands of other users tweeting away about the President’s address, Ochocinco shared the unique perspective only an upcoming Super Bowl participant could offer. He admitted that watching the speech would require staying up past his bedtime, which usually falls at 8 p.m.

“I can’t go to sleep what time is the State of the Union Address,” he tweeted.

He offered insight on “the guy over Obamas left shoulder (Speaker of the House and Republican John Boehner) who didn’t seem too pleased with the President’s remarks.

The man on the left of Obama took notice, despite revealing he was a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, a team Ochocinco once played for before arriving in New England.

The speaker noted the athlete’s tweets, and gave him a shoutout on his own Twitter account and wished him luck on his Super Bowl game against the New York Giants.
