As promised, governor Chris Christie has vetoed a law permitting gay marriage in New Jersey, which passed the state assembly only yesterday. Christie, who is suspected to be a strong contender for a Republican cabinet position or vice-presidential pick, has vowed to throw the issue of gay marriage to a ballot measure, for a direct vote by the citizens.
The liberal-leaning socia media universe is up in arms:
Chris Christie has to veto marriage equality or he’ll never be the GOP nominee. Thankfully, it also means he’ll never be President.
