Celebrities and others on Twitter have begun sharing this heartbreaking piece of information with a link to the a website raising awareness for the upcoming documentary “Bully.
“3 million students will be absent because they feel unsafe at school,” reads a factoid in the website. The site asks people to take a stand against bullying by adding their voice online. Adding your name and email takes you to a stat sheet with more disheartening information.
Scheduled for premier on March 30 with a limited release due the fact that it’s unrated, the film has garnered some controversy due to its subject manner and the brief use of profanity by children.
