Congressman Wears Hoodie on House Floor in Protest of Trayvon Martin, Gets Reprimanded

  • Representative Bobby Rush donned a hoodie on the floor of the House of Representative to protest the shooting of Trayvon Martin today.

    “Racial profiling has got to stop,” he said, as he took off his jacket and put up the hoodie over his head. “Just because someone wears a hoodie does not make them a hoodlum.”

    The Speaker reprimanded Rush for breaking decorum of the House, as Rush read a passage from the Bible (see the video below):
