  • Miami-based rapper Rick Ross, recently named MTV’s Hottest MC in the Game, dropped a new single off of his upcoming studio album, God Forgives I Don’t, which is set to be released on July 31.

Jake One-produced “3 Kings” boasts a classic ’90s hip-hop feel, with the experienced rappers — Jay-Z and Dr. Dre — to back it up, building some positive industry attention for Ross’ Maybach Music Group label.

As a promotional tactic, Ross asked tweeters to change their avatars to his album cover and get #3Kings trending. And it worked, with “3 Kings” finding a top trending spot on Twitter Friday morning, gathering over 24,000 mentions in the past day.

Check out the song and let us know what you think — and keep your ears open for the bit about Blue Ivy.
