  • If you’ve ever seen the hit Lifetime reality show Dance Moms, you know it’s all about how insane moms whose kids dance are. (Hint: the answer is really insane.) But this time, the show’s main character Abby Lee Miller is showing us she might be crazy in a way that isn’t just fun and games and child endangerment.

Miller, who runs the Abby Lee Miller Dance School around which the show is based, was charged earlier with 20 counts related to failure to report income from Dance Moms and its spinoffs while going through bankruptcy proceedings. This week, money laundering charges were added to the list, as Miller is accused of bringing more than $10,000 cash into the United States from Australia. (The exact amount is unknown, but according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the U.S. Attorney’s office “also filed a forfeiture allegation seeking a judgment of $120,000.”)

According to Deadline, Miller could spend up to five years in prison and pay more than $5 million in fines if found guilty.

In addition to Dance Moms, Miller has starred in Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition, Dance Moms: Miami, and Dance Moms: Abby’s Studio Rescue.

What do you think? Is Abby Lee Miller getting what’s coming to her, or is she innocent? Let us know in the comments below or @WhatsTrending on Twitter!
