The hashtag #OccupyBandNames is on the rise this morning. After a week that has included the shut down of camps in Oakland and the Occupy Movement birthplace of New York, you just knew that a rebellious twitter meme was coming. And, what is better way to vent your frustration than music.
The hashtag started surging this morning and currently there are about 50 new tweets being added every minute. They range from the obvious, like plays on Rage Against the Machine, who quite possibly could have been considered an Occupy band before the movement even started, to more inventive ideas like The Kings of Leon Trotsky.
