“Lava Fall” Illusion at Yosemite Wows Viewers

  • Yosemite national park was the site of a rare optical illusion, where a waterfall appears to turn to lava in mid-day. The sun shines on the Horsetail Fall so precisely that it illuminates the cascading water in a shimmering orange and yellow.
