The New York Times is reporting that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called President Donald Trump a "moron" in a closed-door meeting.
It's being reported that Rex Tillerson really wants to resign from his position as Secretary of State. Apparently tensions came to a head in July. For those of you who don't remember, here's a little highlight reel of Trump's antics this summer.
On July 2nd, Trump tweeted this video of him wrestling the CNN logo. On July 8th, he let his daughter and failed fashion designer Ivanka Trump take his seat at the G20 Meeting. On July 17, Trump played in a fire truck as his party's Healthcare bill imploded, and of course, Don Trump Junior went on Fox News and admitted to meeting with a Russian government lawyer to get damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
But, after all that, reports began circulating that Tillerson might resign after Trump had his ridiculous meltdown in front of the boy scouts.
NBC News reports Tillerson considered resigning after the disastrous sppech Trump delivered to the Boy Scouts, an organization Tillerson has deep personal ties to. Reports also say days earlier, Tillerson called Trump a “moron,” after a July 20th meeting at the Pentagon with members of Trump’s national security team and Cabinet officials.
I mean, Moron? That's very harsh.
Would a moron stare directly at the sun during a solar eclipse? Would a moron describe the challenges of Puerto Rico by saying “And the response... and the recovery effort... probably...
has never been seen for something like this. This is an island.
Surrounded by... water. Big water. Ocean water.”
So what do you think? Why would the Secretary of State call the President a moron? Let us know what you think in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending.
