She was basically the worst possible person they could have picked.

Boy, did this Atlanta weight loss clinic screw up their PR.

Apparently a company called SnapThin were creating fake success stories for their marketing material by Google Image searching “fat woman” and writing fictional accounts of them using their services - and one of those pictures belonged to Meghan Tonjes, the very outspoken musician and YouTuber who has more than 200,000 subscribers and an intensely loyal fan base.

The understandably pissed off Tonjes immediately made a video about this, and not only did she call them out on the internet, she literally called them while on camera, confirmed that they had stolen her image and told them she would be contacting her lawyer.

SnapThin is run by a guy named Dr. Jay Goldklang. We did a reverse image search on Goldklang and found his photo on similar websites like HiramChiro, LipoDrops, and Doctors Best Diet. Along with shady-looking herbal supplements and so forth, these websites will put you on a six-week weight loss program for $450.

Looks a lot like a scam to us - and Tonjes just put them on blast.
