Older women are so often disregarded in Hollywood that it’s almost startling to hear Angelina Jolie-Pitt speak frankly about subjects like menopause and female reproductive cancers.

Ultimate power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie-Pitt used their interview with Tom Brokaw about their new movie “By the Sea” to discuss their own marriage, and Angelina's experience with having her breasts, ovaries, and fallopian tubes removed due to cancer risk.

Angelina is currently going through menopause, and she talked about the emotional and physical changes she's had to deal with. She also pointed out that these changes to her body do not make her any less of a woman, and her husband has been completely supportive of this.

“He made it very very clear to me that what he loved and what was a woman to him was someone who was smart and capable and cared about her family. It’s not about your physical body.”
