  • Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta” is about to feature their first transgender bride this week.

Her name is Precious Davis and she’s an activist devoted to promoting social justice online. She and her fiancé Myles Brady recently met with President Obama to talk about strengthening diversity.

The bio on her website explains:

Davis finds deep meaning in engaging individuals in conversations surrounding bias, bigotry, and prejudice in their communities on the basis and belief that humans can coexist with one another positively through the embracing of each other’s differences and the celebrating of  each others human diversity.

“We actually think it’s pretty awesome that America will get to see a transgender woman feeling happy and beautiful on a fluffy show like this,” says What's Trending Fem host Anna Lore. “’Say Yes to the Dress’ probably isn’t going to change the world, but it’s nice to see that they’re giving a spotlight to women who aren’t usually represented on TV.”
