Tracy Morgan is critically injured after his limo was hit in a six-car pileup early yesterday morning on the New Jersey Turnpike.

Morgan and his entourage were coming back from Dover, Del., a stop on his “Turn it Funny” tour, when a truck slammed into their limo and four other vehicles. Luckily, the people in the other cars weren’t injured.

“I climbed around and heard Tracy screaming for help,” Tyrone Gale, Morgan’s driver, told ABC News. “I climbed up on the body of the limo bus… but I couldn’t reach them.”

The comedian-actor’s writer, James McNair, was tragically killed. McNair was also a comedian who performed under the name, Jimmy Mack.

Morgan and three other passengers were immediately taken to the hospital.

Morgan is surrounded by his family and is receiving excellent care, Morgan’s rep, Lewis Kay, told ABC News.
