‘Thelma & Louise’ Replicate Iconic Selfie

Believe it or not the Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis took their famous Thelma & Louise ‘selfie’ over 20 years ago. The two Themla & Louise co-stars have reunited to replicate the photo taken in their Oscar winning film.

In the 1991 drama, Davis and Sarandon take a picture of themselves to mark the beginning of their road trip. Fast forward 23 years later the recreated photo was posted on Sarandon’s twitter alongside the original picture. She tweet’s “Inventors of the #selfie at it again #ThelmaAndLouise.”

Both Sarandon and Davis landed Oscar nods for the movie, which ones an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and also launched Brad Pitt’s career.
