Community Gets Sixth Season Thanks to Yahoo

Last week, fans of the TV show ‘Community’ were disappointed to find out that talks with Hulu for a sixth season were falling apart.

But earlier today, Yahoo CMO Kathy Savitt posted the following on the official Yahoo Tumblr.

And the crowd goes wild… the Darkest Timeline is over. “Community” is coming to Yahoo! Beginning later this Fall, tune into Yahoo for the highly-anticipated sixth season, with 13 new episodes available exclusively on Yahoo Screen.

Now the impossible has become a reality. Back in April, Yahoo announced its plans to create original series, starting with the comedies Other Space, from executive producer Paul Feig, and Sin City Saints, both of which will premiere eight episodes for their first season to binge-watch on Yahoo Screen or the mobile apps.

Community Season 6 will be available in the same format, with all 13 episodes being released at once sometime in 2015. Consider it a new Greendale course requirement: Advanced TV Revitalization & Binge-Watching.
