The Cubs apparently didn’t want to give David Ortiz anything to hit Tuesday night. Who can blame them? He was already intentionally walked once before coming up to bat once again in the 7th inning of last night’s game.
When Cubs’ pitcher Neil Ramirez went to give him another free pass, Ortiz saw it coming from a mile away. Before the pitch was even thrown, Ortiz starts walking to first base… and it was hilarious.
The Cubs’ strategy seemed to work, however. They defeated the Red Sox 2-1.
