Pittsburgh Penguins’ star Sidney Crosby will have arthroscopic surgery within the next few days in order to repair damage in his right wrist, which reportedly impeded his performance during the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Although the often injured Crosby was the regular season MVP and led the NHL in scoring with 36 goals, he fell short of expectations in the playoffs and we now have some indication as to why.

A source reveals that Sidney was playing with a “terrible wrist” for the entire playoffs, despite his persistent assurance that he was healthy.

Fortunately, Crosby is not expected to miss any of next season as a result of the surgery.
