Derek Jeter, set to retire after this season, will be playing in his 14th and final All Star game this Tuesday.
Jordan Brand, the Nike subsidiary and longtime sponsor of Derek Jeter, released a tribute video honoring the Yankees’ star shortstop who is playing in his 20th and final season. The star-studded commercial, appropriately titled “RE2PECT” features baseball fans (yes, even Boston Red Sox fans) tipping their caps to the 5-time World Series champion.
It includes everyone from ordinary Yankees fans to New York City police officers, from Jay Z to Tiger Woods, rapper Action Bronson, to the face of the brand, Michael Jordan himself.
The commercial just goes to show how beloved the Yankee truly is. No matter what hat you wear, you cant help but tip it to the captain.
