Christopher Walken seems to be a man of many faces playing a variety of roles in films throughout his more than 60 years in the entertainment industry. Walken has played his fair share of villains from Max Zorin in the James Bond film “A View to a Kill” to the headless horsemen in “Sleepy Hollow.”

Walken can now check off one more villain off his list by playing Captain Hook in NBC’s live “Peter Pan” musical special. Walken is the perfect actor for Peter Pan’s enemy as he has plentiful experience on both Broadway and film, which the special combines together.

The announcement was made by NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour yesterday. Producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who teamed up with Walken for the remake of “Hairspray,” seem more than excited to be working with him again for this unique project.

“The exhilarating thing about doing these live musicals is giving the stage to a thrilling performer like Chris, and seeing his once-in-a-lifetime performance unfold at the same moment the audience is watching at home,” executive producers Zadan and Meron said to The Hollywood Reporter.
