While Google Street View has covered the majority of New York since 2007, you might be shocked to find out that Liberty Island has not yet been mapped.

    That is until now.

You can thank Alberto Elias at Google for that. The trekker, which he had to carry around and was used to collect data, weighed a total of 14lbs, according to the New York Times.

Can you even begin to imagine having to carry that around Lady Liberty for hours on end and having to do that several times in order to bring future viewers the best capture? Kudos to you, Mr. Elias. You must be one fit fella.

Elias no doubt attracted the attention of a number of tourists. One kid even called him out as “The Google Maps Guy.”

    His response? “Yes, I am.”
