Jay Z’s Alleged Mistress Slams Beyonce In ‘Sorry Mrs. Carter’ Rap

Liv, an amateur rapper and the alleged mistress of Jay Z, has released a rap music video with incendiary lyrics. Crowds of Beyonce’s fans have watched the YouTube video wondering what exactly all of it means: often, the rap seems to contradict itself and its insinuations are not particularly kind to Mrs. Carter, despite the apologetic title.

“Jay Z’s alleged mistress has released an open letter to Beyonce in a new rap, adding more fuel to the Beyonce and Jay break-up rumors,” Boston Entertainment wrote. “Liv, an amateur rapper claiming Jay Z wanted her to be his mistress, lets loose in a video titled ‘Sorry Mrs. Carter’ with lyrics clearly aimed at Beyonce.”

The song starts off saying that she could have slept with Jay Z, implying that he wanted her to be his mistress, but she refused. She then goes on to say that Jay left her with a piece of his heart. The rest of the song goes on to explain that Liv doesn’t believe Jay Z is the type of man to be married and that Beyonce doesn’t have a good grasp on him. Essentially, it seems she believes their marriage is a sham.

“‘F–k f–king to the top, me and Jay never screwed,’ Liv raps before raising a (somewhat confusing) question that seems directed at Mrs. Carter-Knowles’ decisions: “You got a good girl, why she messing with a bad guy?” She samples OutKast’s ‘Ms. Jackson’ for the chorus, breathlessly singing, ‘Sorry Mrs. Carter, this is for real,'” reported Entertainment Weekly. “But just when you think this whole song is just an apology to Beyoncé, Liv goes on the offensive. ‘Why don’t you tell these girls how to be wives? Why don’t tell these girls how to act around yo’ husband?'”

With more than 1 million views and 14,000 dislikes, swarms of Beyonce’s supporters are outraged at the video — not only because of its attack on Queen Bey, but because of its seemingly attention-seeking nature. While many comments tell Liv off for home-wrecking and damaging the sanctity of the Carters’ marriage, just as many berate her for riding the wings of infamy in an attempt to garner a following. Either way, it seems Liv has, indeed, caught the public’s attention.
