We’ve all heard of people sneaking alcohol into concerts, whether its taping nips to the bottom of your purse, putting a bottle in your boots, or…ahem…other methods…but this is definitely the craziest one.
According to CBS San Francisco, a group of people admitted to burying a bottle of Makers Mark on the festival grounds three days before set-up with a GPS tracking device, to be uncovered the day of the festival.
Wow that’s…a lot of effort.
We get it guys, booze is insanely expensive at music festivals, and not being allowed to bring your own sometimes temps people to get – um – creative?
Officials over at Outside Lands have heard a million different plots for sneaking in the goods, but this one actually surprised them. “That’s a new one,” Gregg Perloff of Another Planet Entertainment. “That one I haven’t heard before… I’m not going to spend a lot of time worrying about that.”
What do you think? Is this genius or completely absurd? Let us know!
