Dad Reveals Daughter’s Selfie-Making Process

As a man in his 30s, I sometimes when I became detached from pop culture, what the “kids” are into, when I made that transition from young person to full-blown adult. I can’t pinpoint exactly when it happened — probably during the dubstep explosion, but I can now say with complete certainty that the process is 100% complete.

I am out of touch.

Because today, instead of asking “Are we there yet?” or listening to Stone Temple Pilots on their headphones, the kids today are taking four dozen selfies in a row while making silly faces.

Thankfully, dad and fellow old fuddy-duddy Rod Beckham had the wherewithal to document this disturbing trend, albeit vertically, on his phone. Congratulations, parents of 2014. Your children are now the Animaniacs.
