  • Unless you’re still riding the high of LCD Soundsystem’s incredible 2011 farewell show, you’re probably ready for new music from James Murphy.

    Well, if you actually want him to write and record something new, you might have to keep waiting. This IBM-U.S. Open collaboration, however, is a pretty compelling experiment, even if I’m not entirely sure what it is.

    IBM is using a big ol’ computer to turn live tennis data into sounds, which Murphy will then manipulate and turn into 14 different tracks, which will be posted on
