Pogo’s “The Trouble”

“Pogo” is the stage name of Australian music producer Christopher Nicholas “Nick” Bertke, whose musical movie mashups have earned him millions of fans on YouTube. Pogo’s latest salutes characters getting themselves into trouble, and features sounds and images taken from the Disney classics “Peter Pan,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Mary Poppins” and “The Little Mermaid.”

“Alice in Wonderland” previously inspired Pogo’s smash hit YouTube debut, titled simply “Alice,” which was released way back in 2007. That clip currently has over 13 million views. Some of Pogo’s other massively popular Disney mashups have been based around “Snow White”, “Toy Story”, “Monsters Inc” and “Up.”

This piece, titled “Upular,” was actually commissioned by Disney/Pixar themselves, based on the popularity of Pogo’s previous Disney mashups. He’s also worked on songs based around non-Disney properties, such as “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”.
