Australian animator and illustrator Chris Jones may have created a monster.
“Ed” was “made with Lightwave, Sculptris and Krita, composited with Davinci Resolve Lite.” I have no idea what any of that means, but I can only assume that those are very powerful computer programs which will soon be able to replace me at What’s Trending (or any other job I might get) and triple productivity in the process.
I’ve watched this 46 second clip several times, and I can’t believe that it’s completely computer-generated, without using motion-capture or a real person’s face.
I mean, just 10 years ago, this was the best we could do:

AND THAT WAS AMAZING! But, at least for the sake of humanity’s survival, we could tell it was a cartoon.
