Rafael Lorzano, from Houstan, Texas, made it his life goal to visit every single Starbucks in the world… and he’s off to a great start!
The coffee fanatic has spent 17 years visiting 11,733 Starbucks for over $160,000, according to the Daily Mail. He’s been all over — from Hawaii and Canada to Lebanon and Egypt. He snaps a quick selfie and buys himself a drink.

When he started the project in 1997, there were only 1,500 Starbucks in 4 countries. Since then, he’s jetted all over the world to keep up with the openings.
“I wondered: ‘Would it be possible to visit them all?’ Most people would leave it as a hypothetical question but I figured, why not?” he told the Daily Mail.

Most people just assume each Starbucks is the same, after all it’s a chain. But Lorzano looks for the uniqueness in each one. His favorite is one in Hong Kong because he likes their mirrored decor.

The 42-year-old became a freelance computer programmer, which gave him the freedom to travel. He was especially busy in 2007, when they opened more than 290 stores a week.
“Then they had an implosion when they announced the closure of 600 stores and since then, the growth has slowed dramatically. So I’ve been desperately trying to get to all the ones due to close before they are lost forever.”
