Ian McKellen’s Dire Warning for Students

Sir Ian McKellen visited Chew Valley School in Bristol, UK, on Friday (for reasons that have not been entirely made clear.)

After a group of students gathered outside a window to get a glimpse of the “X-Men” and “Lord of the Rings” star, he offered some sage wisdom, reminding them to work hard on their students.

Should they fail to do all of their revisions, he cautioned, “YOU SHALL NOT PASS!,” a memorable quote from his performance as Gandalf in “The Fellowship of the Ring.”

The “You Shall Not Pass!” quote is commonly used on the Internet and has been remixed and parodied numerous times (including the above techno version.) It’s also commonly used in image macros.
