Shaq and Charles Barkley: The Next True Detectives?

When The Handsome Family recorded “Far From Any Road” for their 2003 album Singing Bones, they probably had no idea that it would become the iconic theme music for HBO’s True Detective. I’m sure they’d be even more surprised if you told them that Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley would one day be acting very poorly over their song.

Bleacher Report only got a few usable quotes out of O’Neal and Barkley, which becomes clear as they repeat the same few lines multiple times in the second half of this two-minute video. This is one of those ideas that is better in concept than execution, but I still enjoy having Shaq tell me that time is a flat circle.
